Forest View Second Access

by Adam Pretorius | August 2016

The announcement of the new proposed development of Forest View would provide a second way out during floods, says developer Justin Doyle. Currently the only access is Foster Road which experienced flooding during the 2008 flood around the portion adjacent to Idyllwild choking access to the southern peninsula. The new road extension, currently a gravel road, connects the end of Algonquin Road in Mackinaw Village to Laura Drive in the Forest View Mobile Home Court. The new development would also add another stop light at the Dubuque intersection between the current I-80 off ramp and intersection of Foster Road. Meanwhile in Idyllwild, the neighborhood is installing a berm wall to mitigate future flooding of its development consequently assisting with future flood concerns of lower Foster Road.
