Like the popular kid on the block, Sully has met “about every pet on the block.”
After the popularity of the newsletter’s “Meet Your Neighbor” section which focuses on a different resident, it seemed appropriate to begin featuring a neighborhood pet. In a pet-friendly community with so many pets from which to choose, one would think selecting the first featured pet would be challenging. But few pets are as well known as Sully, an 8-year-old rescue dog from Washington County. Like the popular kid on the block, Sully has met “about every pet on the block.” Sully and his homeowner, Pete, moved to the neighborhood in 2007. Now with Pete in his second home in the neighborhood, Sully has walked, sniffed, monitored, and approved each street and most front porches as the neighborhood continues to expand. And Sully is a walker for all seasons--especially winter. And if Pete stops to talk to a neighbor, Sully lets out a loud sigh, eager to keep going. Sully is extremely friendly and likes to meet new pet friends, barking at the ones in cars going to the dog park. We’re told Sully’s even disposition comes from living with his two cat siblings, Hugo and Chat. Look for Sully and owner Pete walking around the neighborhood but don’t ask who is doing the walking and who is being walked.
