The Peninsula has always been canine-friendly, but now we’re a bit more people-friendly too. Our neighborhood dog treat emporium, Woofables, has transformed into Peninsables to also offer a very human-friendly selection of convenience items and food staples. This Peninsula convenience store not only carries grocery essentials like milk, eggs, chips and ice cream, but also diapers, cold medicine, kitty litter, and batteries.
“We really want to be a helpful resource for our peninsula neighbors and guests,” shop owner Alex Taylor said. “I’ve stocked the shelves and coolers with things people tend to run out of. And if you don’t see your essentials in the shop, just let us know, and we’ll put it on our grocery list to carry in stock for your future purchase”
Pantry items currently include a variety of breakfast cereals, pastas and sauces, canned goods including tuna, pumpkin, and soups; sugar, salt, baking powder, and flour; salsas, crackers, chips; a variety of sauces, salad dressings, oils, and vinegars; as well as coffee and tea. There are also snack foods and candy, picnic supplies (charcoal, lighter fluid, paper plates) as well as personal care items and household cleaners. A freezer holds Ice cream, juice concentrate, and frozen pizzas and a refrigerator case has dairy products, sodas, water, tea, and juice.
Of course, a tasty selection of locally made Woofables gourmet biscuits are always on sale for our four legged friends. Dogs, —along with their well-behaved owners—are always welcome at Peninsables neighborhood market.
The shop is open seven days a week (3 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 to 5 Saturday, noon to 5 Sunday). Stop in and say hello… your grocery store, for your convenience.
